Our Story
Our craftsman have worked with some of Southern California's more esteemed general and painting contractors. After years of working as painting lead men, estimators, painters, faux and specialty finishers, our team has struck out on its own after 20+ years with Glendale-based Gicanov Painting, and other allied companies, now that the company principals are retiring. All good things must come to an end to make room for the new. We take with us years of experience now updated to include use of newer, more sustainable paints, environmental practices, new finishes and more efficient protocols to serve new clients as we honor and continue to provide services to those families and businesses that made us.

Our Process
Feel free to call us 24/7 or fill out the contact form. You may also use the calendar scheduling tool on our contact form to instantly book a time for us to visit your property to provide a complimentary estimate. Our estimate will lay out all prep work that we feel is necessary. It will also include the full scope-of-work and pricing that takes into consideration your choice, number of coats needed and will incorporate a timeline within in which milestones and completion of your work is to occur.
Bid Estimate
We will visit your home, take accurate measurements, assess the conditions of your walls, trim, doors, molding and accessibility to all wall and ceiling spaces and provide you with an estimate within 3 business days.
Start of Work
Once we have determined a start date and executed a contract the fun begins! We will guide you through color selection and help you select a traditional paint manufacturer or a new eco-friendly one. You will pay a deposit. We will purchase materials and get started.
On-Site Consultations
You will always have access to your lead man/point person during the course of our service. S/he will be available to you 24/7 until your job has been completed.
Finishing
Touches or Add-ons
Once work has been completed, we will meticulously clean the work premises, leaving it in better shape than when we started. You may to your work order at any time and we will immediately create a Change Order for new work.
Our Quality Guarantee
We, at Catalytic Painting & Decorating, take exceptional pride in our work with the intent of delivering long-lasting paint jobs. However, in an unlikely event that there is a problem with a painting job we did for you, you will be able to call us and have the problem corrected.

3-YEAR WARRANTY ON PROFESSIONAL WORKMANSHIP

Subject to the limitations set forth below, for a period of 36 months from the date on the front of your contract, Catalytic Painting & Decorating will repair cracking, peeling or chipping paint resulting from defective workmanship.
For this warranty to be effective, you must:

Retain a copy of the original contract.

Present evidence that all payments have been made in full upon completion.

Contact Catalytic Painting & Decorating by phone, at (310) 987-7187, so that we can arrange for an inspection of your property, explain the nature and extent of the covered repairs and plan for performing on the needed work.

Make the property accessible to us, to perform the repairs.

CATALYTIC PAINTING & DECORATING WILL DO THE FOLLOWING

Perform all of the covered repairs at no cost to you.

Perform any covered repairs to surface preparation as described in original contract.

Perform any covered repairs on specific areas where cracking, peeling and/or chipping has occurred. An exact color match cannot be assured, as environmental conditions can affect paint color over time.

EXCLUDED FROM OUR WARRANTY

Any work where Catalytic Painting & Decorating did not supply the paint materials.

Any work which was not performed by Catalytic Painting & Decorating or where a non-employee of Catalytic Painting & Decorating has attempted to do surface preparation.

Water intrusion detection or elimination.

Any paint peeling that is a result of moisture intrusion. Properly applied paint will peel, usually to bare wood, in areas where the substrate is exposed to a large amount of moisture.

Any paint bubbling.

Any horizontal surface or any surface that is the result of a structural design that permits moisture to collect. This includes, but is not limited to decks, railings, stairs and porches.

Varnished or natural finished wood surfaces.

We will not be responsible for exact matching of existing colors or textures. Neither can we guarantee that the finish paint samples you selected will exactly match the finish coating.

Conditions that are the result of a failure in the paint itself. Including but not limited to, fading, chalking, flashing, and lapping. We recommend lighter colors, as they are more reflective of the sunlight and generally extend the life of a paint film.
The appearance of mildew, mold, or any other environmental conditions.
​
The appearance of cracks due to earthquakes or ground movement.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE ONLY EXPRESS WARRANTY MADE BY CATALYTIC PAINTING & DECORATING AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. THIS WARRANTY COVERS ONLY THOSE SERVICES PROVIDED BY CATALYTIC PAINTING & DECORATING TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER NAMED ON THE FRONT OF THE JOB CONTRACT.
